Real Japan Insider (realjapaninsider.com) is an independent travel guide. It's a simple informational website — there are no user accounts, and no sign-up or newsletter is required to read anything here.
We don't ask you for personal information to browse this site, and we don't show ads. To understand which guides people find useful, we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects anonymised, aggregated usage data (described below). Like any website, our server may also keep standard technical logs (such as your IP address and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site working.
We don't use advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies to measure aggregated usage, and affiliate partners may set cookies as described above. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can disable Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on.
You can browse without giving us any personal details, use your browser's privacy controls to manage cookies, and contact us at any time to ask what we know (which, for most visitors, is nothing beyond standard server logs).
